Professional Experience
Medical Assistant
Working at Dr. James Lee’s podiatry office has given me irreplaceable skills that can be used to advance my professional career. Working the podiatry office revealed a glimpse of the real healthcare setting. Some of the skills that I have obtained over the course of working there include: rooming patients into their rooms, scheduling appointments with patients, handling the phone systems regarding various questions and issues, and working with computer programs regarding data entry. In addition, my bilingual proficiency in the language, Korean, has allowed me to aid those that did not speak English that sought assistance.
Program Management Assistant
Working at Grandma's House of Hope provided me the opportunity to experience a community program geared towards the low income and underserved. Some of the skills that I obtained during my stay at Grandma's House of Hope include: managing various projects, working with younger students with high needs, and leading other interns for a major project.
Internship Activity
The document is one of many activities that the interns facilitated with the students. The particular document is one that I created for the students. During the month of February, the students can engage in theme-appropriate activity that engages fine motor skills and attention to detail.
Internship Inventory File
The document is an inventory list that I created for the community center. The social services room that holds supplies needed an organized system to help facilitate order.
